I am in Syracuse, it is going well. Do you ever worry there is a large 2-3inch cockroach in your ear? Sometimes, it's a valid worry. Luckily, it's not for me right now!

The theme of this symposium is HEAT and SYRACUSE SURE IS HOT. That is the theme I've found, anyway. And tomorrow is international "Alexis wears all black" day... Maybe. I am trying to decide how casual is... outside of the realm I am willing to go. I am not a very business side of business casual person, and so I know I'll be on the "under-dressed" side of the rooms...

I seriously feel so lucky for srh. These dorms are fine, sure, but A)no air conditioning B)Communal showering C) The bathroom is way the crap far away D) no sink in the room or anywhere nearby. Sometimes you just want to wash your hands and you can't.

I think my parents are going crazy, Li'l sis left today for London and empty nest is sinking in. I am glad I am far away for a week! Also, I wish it were WEDNESDAY already I really want it to be WEDNESDAY. that is the day, the day I roll in to DC and I kick that town around.

Seriously the plan is to be awesome. Be awesome, ok?
